THE YOUTH - INTEGRITY AND DESTINY (page 1)

No matter the speed of an athlete, should the rules not adhered strictly, such heads for disqualification.
Life is a race with well-defined rules and regulations. The trophy for winning this race is a 'destiny-attained.'The life we live is given by a lovely God who mean well for humanity; and has set before everyone a bright destiny. But attaining it is an individual choice.
The destiny of a youth is as fragile as it is vulnerable to many 'social infections.'
The life of a youth is what it is caved out of the family - the parent of any society.
Most youths live their childhood in disobedience and dishonour to parents; paying deaf ears to the uttered wisdom. Growing-up with wayward friends, they learn to be nuisance in the family and in the community at large. For this cause, most of them could be, unknowingly, sentenced for doom by their sorrowful parents.
As written in the Holy Book, the price for honouring father and mother is a good and long-life on earth. So, where is the place of a bright destiny in the life of a dishonouring youth? This is neither religious nor is it pertained to witchcraft.
So fruitlessly, most youths have travailed the valley of wrong mentality as regards the treasures of life. Who said that formal education is the only link to your destiny? A great deal of talents, in diverse areas of existence, is decaying in youths; because everyone is given to the dogma that 'no formal education, no bright future.' But the wealthiest person in our world today, I learnt, is neither into law nor is he in the medical field of profession; but transferring the still-image on his mind to moving images, coupled with hardwork got him to where he is today.
The truth remains that most us run, at almost the speed of light, away from life calling (talent); and even those who have the privilege of formal education, either do it with the motive of making money or in the wrong career. You are educated to get developed into a rounded personality and better posed to maximize your inborn tendencies, which are meant squarely for dominance.

Of course! "Your destiny is in your hands." So we know! But in what hands; the ones that are swift in doing whatever it takes to prove your youthfulness?
With the same hands where destiny lies, we carry out social vices - rioting, smoking of hemp, shedding of blood, alchoholism, kidnapping, and a handful of other vices that have our society coloured.
When destiny, as a seed in the hands of the sower, is watered with all these vices, it viability is destroyed.

What a revolution without an evolution!
The age of information has become the age of confusion: too much know-how, and hardly any know-why.
Technology which should be a device for social advancement has turned out to be a device for decadence. Through media the forces of darkness are seeking to capture the minds of the youths by exposing them to the wrong values.
As a result, more time is devoted to leisure than it is to work. It is reasonable that after hours of ponographic exposure through media - internet, movies, magazine, sexual immorality as well promiscuity dominates the vulnerable mind of a youth. And in no time this becomes a habit. As it is said, "Your daily routine is a prediction of your future."
Still, the fact that technology is geared toward a better existence is indisputable.
Only that the 'hot blood' running the succulent veins of youths has made them colour blinded to the positivity of technology.

Not with a youth void of integrity would you re-echo that, "Destiny can only be delayed, but not destroyed."
Lose of integrity through peer pressure remains our strongest ominous pitfall. So many have compromised their their destiny - giving up what they believe, who they are, accepting second best because they are impatient or afraid of criticisms.
They bankrupt themselves to make their peers feel good, because they do not want to disappoint them or be seen as uncivilised. A good measure of us auctions their integrity through pressure and as such has given in to alcoholism, smoking of hemp, and amongst many other vices, prostitution and nudity.
Any youth who fall under pressure has his/her destiny destroyed, even before it gets to be delayed; as pressures cloud their ability to reason well and have their focus waived.
